Do you know that some Slight Dragging of the Feet are Divinely Orchestrated?

Do you know that some slight dragging of the feet are divine? Oh, wow, you don't believe it right?  Then, read this story.    Something happened on Sunday in my place of worship.  My husband and I had already scheduled that I would leave the church for a particular place.  Say 11am or 12pm, I should jet out.  The purpose was to go get something very important and there was a timeframe attached to the person I should meet. It was just around past 10 and the atmosphere in the church was already charged.  I checked my wrist watch and noticed that it was nearing the time but at that point, I wasn't interested in leaving my seat.  The worship was soul stirring.  My heart was deeply connected, I didn't just want to unplug and run off.  So, I stayed.  I was very intentional about staying, because I kept my phone away and just concentrated.  Just in, My husband walked up to me and was like, he wouldn't want me to miss this aspect of se...

Can You Pull Others to Believe in Your Dream WITHOUT stress?

I    have these go-to vendors whenever I need fresh tomatoes and bell peppers.  This northern guy confuses me every time because I'm not even sure when tomatoes are in season or not.  I would say it's 'good confusion' because he sells it really well.  Any amount. No cheating.  One time I was tempted to ask him when tomatoes will become scarce because I have never heard him mentioned it during our banters, but I changed my mind.  The other woman is similar, too.  She can effortlessly make you keep coming because she will always mention why she must get only big and fresh tomatoes for her customers.  You'll never catch her selling depleting ones.  I'm just here thinking about how this scenario really works in other areas of our lives.  What can we say we are consistently known for? In good and bad times? Can our lives make people confess the same testimony? You see, consistently saying and working towards who we want to be with...

Beloved, There’s a Ghostwriting Deal.

Image
The CEO of Excellent Management Consult reached out to me last December and said, “ Beloved, there’s a ghostwriting deal. It’s not for me though, it’s for a medical doctor I respect deeply. What’s your charge?” I read the message and immediately read between the lines. Who could that be? Someone I had met before? Someone watching quietly? Either way, I sent my rate. He negotiated. And now the deal is in the pipeline. But here’s the real lesson  Professionalism matters—more than we like to admit. I once had a prior virtual meeting with this CEO. He already knew what I do, how I think, and how seriously I take my craft. This is a man deeply rooted in academics and obsessed with personal development. If you’re speaking from a place of struggle instead of value, he can smell it instantly. You see, it’s not enough to just have the skill. What results has your skill produced? What problems has it solved? How are you presenting/positioning yourself when you sell it? Because in the ...
