Trusting God's Sovereignty: Finding Peace in Uncertainty

Trusting God's Sovereignty: Finding Peace in Uncertainty

Behind a smile is a tear that is hidden, behind a smile is a tear that is suppressed.

Prior to the time of my granny's passing, it seemed like my mother already had a feeling that she would die, she carried her portmanteau and told the family to give her like two weeks that she would be back. Actually, she wanted to check on her mom and the feeling was already so strong. Two weeks passed and my mother didn't look like she was coming home, I felt nauseated; like I would puke anytime my father called to tell me the latest update.

Reality was far like the smell of November wind in the West. We all wanted our mother to be home, but at the same time, we needed granny to be well, and since there was no one taking care of grandma, my mother had to stay. I remember calling my mother one evening, telling her about Heaven and the possibility of granny's last days.

I am not a seer, but I could tell that granny was living in her last days, I told my mother about preaching to granny and sharing the good news of salvation, my mother didn't object one bit, but there was a streak of uncertainty in her voice,

"Do you really think that mama isn't a born again Christian?"

I exhaled. "I am not saying so, but I just want us to be sure that she has done the greatest thing and she is ready and prepared for the last flight.

Obviously, what I had said broke my mum into two like a strike at a mahogany, but she didn't stood her ground. The next day, all I heard was that granny got saved and about hours after, she started to see visions of Jesus- she had broken into the realms of the supernatural

When the last of my grandparents died in November 2023, it was peace amidst tears, it was testimony amidst stories.

We may not be able to explain why we smile, but we shouldn't add to the reasons why we cry

This is to reiterate the fact that, so far a man\woman gives his life to Christ, there is unlimited and unfettered access to God and the power that He possess. This is the power that He has freely given to us, that we may be able to stand in the evil days and having done all to stand. I encourage you, my dear readers to note that God is still in the business of creating good out of bad. He is still in the business of giving beauty for ashes.

                                                       JUST STAY IN\WITH GOD

Your circumstances may not be favorable, your path in life may not be smooth and all, but you will do well to entrust all your care upon Him for He careth for you.

Maintaining peace in the midst of uncertainties is just akin to waiting for a bridegroom on a wedding day, knowing fully well that there is no means of communication, yet you wait, believing that he will come and there will be no disappointment.

If we can have this strong belief in man, how about in God?

Oh!

Because we do not see Him right? The Bible says that blessed are those who are yet to see Him but they believe, so those who are true worshippers of God believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Thank you so much for dropping by and for reading this piece, let me know if this story about my granny blesses you, I'd be more than happy to read your comments.
