HOW GOD HELPED ME HEALED FROM AN EMOTIONAL DISTRAUGHT IN MAY/JUNE 2023. 

This story I'm about to share now is particularly for those,

 who are eager to make money online. 

 whose interest are usually piqued on hearing 'get paid in dollars.'

 who have been swindled/scammed. 

There's something about this online space and the need to show off, keep calm please, there's a link there. You, check it, there's this tendency of 'wannabe' and if care is not taken, we can be swept off by the tides. 

I got a message to apply for the post of a content writer in Learnania Africa; a media firm resident in Johannesburg, South Africa. I was so over the roof that period as I started to mentally prepare myself. 

Trust the standard of such a company now, there were various interview processes and the likes, they were so prim and proper that you would never DETECT something was fishing. 

I felt we were just a few applicants in the pool until one day, while I was searching for their Instagram handle, I met a hundred of humans typing and struggling at the comment section for a space. It felt like each person was venting about a particular issue. 

I sat properly to scroll through the comment section. Could I be missing out on something? Or did I come too late to a discussion? My heart beat so fast as I perused. 

I was beginning to see comments like,

'Are you sure this is real?'

'This looks like a scam o!'

'Thank God I haven't paid o.'

Paid what?

Okay, I'll explain.

A part of the interview process stated that we should all present a particular police report on a certain day of the final interview process. So there was a section on their website that could help you go through the hassle seamlessly. 

You need not bother about how you could get one, all you need is to submit your details to a Dropbox and your designated pickup location will pop out. Of course, you'd be paying a fee of N25,000.

I saw this aspect but my husband and dad opted that I could do it in Lagos Island through someone we know. 

Now, this is where it get annoyingly juicy.

A lot of persons were notified about the final interview process, I'm talking about thousands. 

Who notifies thousands of persons for a final interview process that shouldn't exceed few slots or at most in tens!

Now, out of those who were notified, I'm certain that hundreds paid for the online police report that was said would be delivered to them. 

Imagine the amount of money these 'set of insensitive souls' would rake and take home!

Just imagine!

Well, if that was all, we wouldn't have been this bitter, we are talking about the emotional stress here. 

I remembered writing one aspect of the interview exams on a Sunday morning. My husband was with me as I sat on the hot seat racking my brain and being set on an edge!

How would I know that all of that were all for scam!

I broke down but I'm glad I didn't fall sick, that experience really affected me and I'm glad that God really HELPED me healed. 

First of, I started to recognize that this could happen to anybody.  

Two, I became a victim but I had to dust myself and learn from the experience. I could use that to teach people and share lessons about being wary of these vices. (Like, what I'm doing now, you know. )

Three, the whole process just exposed what my real desires/intentions are- to get a remote job that pays high. The type that pays in dollar, right? At least, for the special prestige and the boost to my career. 

Was I wrong to have desired all these and aim for it?

Well, Yes?

Well, No?

Let's see!

When you're in this phase of life, it is normal to feel giddy when things like these are mentioned, but I'll advise that you look out for keywords. 

Look out for those keywords that trigger you. Look out for those things that set you 'hot' and restless when you're greeted with such news. 

Take a seat and begin to assess yourself, first. You may be overprepared or under prepared for what's coming. What this gives you is like a mental 'pause' at your desires. 

It's true that you're seeing what you want and you can't wait to have it, but this point will help you calm down. Even if it's doing you like sugar rush, your body go calm down. 

When you do these, you get to see the WHAT. 

It was that WHAT that I failed to see. 

You see that now...

That's why, we must be very careful. The WHAT entails all that the job is about, making your research and finding out all you need to know. Believe me, there is a high chance that you will get to see flickers of lies here and there.

I am grateful that the phase didn't just pass without God linking me up with another remote job that brought the peace and profit that I was running after.
